Great roller with a nice storage case

My partner swears swears swears by derma rollers. My skin is about the same consistency and feel of sandpaper, thanks to a lifetime of working outside, but... I'm becoming convinced they work just from what I've seen in action.

Good for beginners

This is a perfect tool for beginners. It comes with a nice storage case for in between uses. The needle sizes are perfect for just starting out and getting familiar with dermarolling at home.

Invigorating

It's really not that bad or painful—almost like a zesty feeling. I don’t press too hard, just roll in upward strokes to stimulate collagen renewal. Everyone thinks I look younger than my years!

Less Coverage Area Than Others

These .30mm needles (Aqua top) are thicker than the .25mm I typically use (Black top) but the roller itself is slightly smaller and more narrow. Hence, you'll get less coverage but greater depth when using this one. That's not a problem for me as it's still good quality and very easy to use. I also like the bright color, which helps to differentiate it from the others.

Nice Roller

This is a small little microneedle roller that comes with a really nice clear plastic case for storage. The overall size when stowed is about that of a hard-shell eye glasses case, and the length of a pen. The drum on the roller is 1/2" wide. The needles themselves are tiny, but you can definitely feel them as you roll them over your face. Some areas on my face were more sensistive than others, the worst feeling about equivalent to the prick of a plant stem such as a pumpkin. It wasn't pain, but it'll make you take notice.

Works well…

This derma roller is easy to hold and use. It has a sturdy plastic handle and stainless steel roller. The micro needles are tiny and sharp. It rolls nicely over the area you are focusing on. It comes with a hard plastic case that probably won’t last long. 2 of the little holding prongs inside the case were broken during shipping. It doesn’t affect the actual derma roller though. Happy with this product at a great price.

Better quality than others, and here's what's important to know ...

This FolliRoll 0.30mm Stainless Steel Micro Needle is a a little shorter needle than I usually use (0.5. mm), but I wanted to try it because it looks to be better quality than other derma rollers I have tried. At the time of this review, this roller was on sale for a limited time for less than 7 bucks - a really good value. The FolliRoll 0.30mm Stainless Steel Micro derma roller is made so well with a thumb grip on the top to help apply pressure as you roll. It comes in what looks like sterilized packaging, and I always sterilize the roller before using. After running hot water over the needles to clean off any dead skin, I spray 80% or greater % alcohol and let the derma roller sit at least 20 seconds - or until the alcohol naturally evaporates (the instructions say to soak this derma roller for 5 min. in alcohol even before using for the first time). I have a small countertop sterilization cabinet - ordered on Amazon - and it works really well to sterilize all my beauty tools. A side note is this commitment to keep my tools clean has completely eliminated face break outs from bacteria on my brushes and tools, such as derma rollers. What's important to know is since derma rolling is essentially poking small micro holes in the app layer of your skin, it's super important to start with a clean face, and clean area around where you are rolling.I always use a toner after washing my face, then derma plane to remove hair fuzz and dead skin, before derma rolling... and then I derma roll in very small sections to apply serum with collagen and Hyaluronic acid while the tiny pin pricks are "fresh". I uses sterile gloves to apply the serum to avoid introducing bacteria from my hands. If you don't have a derma plane razor, you can simply shave your face. I follow up after serum with a good moisturizer applied with clean or gloved hands. With so much work involved - this is a Sunday morning ritual for me and has really made a difference in my skin tone.Friends who I have introduced to derma rolling always ask me if it hurts. To me, this FolliRoll 0.30mm Stainless Steel Micro Needle roller feels like tiny pin pricks on the top layer of skin (light derma rolling, such as this, doesn't result in blood all over my face!!!). I can hear my skin being poked and when I no longer hear that, I know the needles have become dull. This roller is like a disposable razor - keep it clean and it's only good for a few uses. Using a dull derma roller is like using a dull razor - more harm than good. While this derma roller is on sale, I plan to order a few - even though my usually go to length is a little longer at .5mm. It's just that good a quality derma roller. Fine for skin, not scalp

My original plan was to use this roller for my scalp, however the needle depth is not adequate for the scalp especially if you have thicker hair. I will say the needle depth is appropriate and works well for the face. I appreciate that the product comes in a sterile package and with a case for easy storage. I personally clean the roller with isopropyl alcohol after each use.
